INEC Fixes Date For 2019 Presidential, National Assembly Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said the presidential elections will be held on February 16, 2019.

Elections of the Senate and House of Representatives are also scheduled for the same day.
President of INEC, Mahmood Yakubu, has revealed the election date for Induction Vacancy for Uyo, Akwa Ibom.
Yakubu said that March 2, 2019 would hold the provincial elections, state assemblies and regional councils in the federal capital.
The head of INEC also said that the implementation of the voter plan plan should begin on 1 January 2018.
He said that 3,630,529 additional voters were registered during a recent ongoing registration, adding that the exercise would continue until 60 days prior to the 2019 general election, according to the electoral law.
